Vestry of the Parish of Woolwich : ウィキペディア英語版
Woolwich

Woolwich ( or ) is a historic town as well as an area of South East London within the Royal Borough of Greenwich. Woolwich became part of the London metropolitan area in the mid 19th century, although remaining part of Kent until 1889. In 1965, most of the Metropolitan Borough of Woolwich became part of Greenwich Borough, of which it is the administrative centre.
Throughout the 18th, 19th and most of the 20th century, Woolwich was an important military and industrial town. It is a river crossing point, with the Woolwich Ferry and the Woolwich foot tunnel crossing to North Woolwich.
Woolwich is identified in the London Plan as one of 35 major centres in Greater London, with a potential to become a metropolitan centre.
